Cannot Afford Guitar Lessons..but Want to Learn.?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: Hi, I own a guitar and I really want to learn how to play. Lessons are very expensive, going as much as $22 for a half and hour, and I cannot afford that right now. I am a teenager, and do not have the funds to pay for it. What should I do?
Answer: Very good free lessons in the link below. Youtube is fine for an intermediate player, but as a beginner you may find youtube frustrating since you’re just randomly jumping around from one lesson to the next. These lessons are not in a series and do not build on one another so they are not nearly as useful as a real lesson plan you can follow step by step. Once you can play a little better then you can go to youtube to learn a specific technique or a specific song. Stick to an organized lesson plan in the beginning.

youtube has a lot of people who know how to play and they teach you. You can look up chords and frets on online too just put in the song you want to play try easy songs like twinkle little star and move up from there. Or if you want to play a kinda easy song SMOKE ON THE WATER IS pretty easy. My son is five and is taking lessons and they taught him that. It is one key and its fret 0= don’t push on the BIG "E" its the thick string. 0 3 5 0 3 6 5 those are the frets to play smoke on the water. its the beginning of smoke on the water but it gets teaches you want you need to to go to other songs.
Frets are one the staff of the guitar and you know how it has medal or "line" in been are the frets it 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 all the way down until the bottom of the guitar. so that is how you play smoke on the water. if you need ne more help let me know. I can give you some pointers considering my son is taking lessons. GOOD LUCK.

There are a few things you could do – you could pick up a part time job, and pay for it that way. Or you could learn online. A lttle ambtion and teaching yourself the notes would go a long way. Best of luck.
