Should I Have to Pay for a Consultation Before Guitar Lesson?

What’s this week’s guitar lessons question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I am starting guitar lessons this week , well , more like I am talking to my future teacher , it won’t really be a lesson. I am going to be paying her at the the end of the month, do you think she is going to charge for the consultation, or whatever? I believe we will just be talking about certain guitar books, etc.

opinions, experiences??

Answer: There is no way I would pay for a consultation. It’s like shopping in a store. You check the merchandise, see if you like it, and if so, move ahead and pay for it.

The most outrageous charge I’ve ever seen was a neighbor whose dog was old and infirm and had to be put to sleep. The veterinarian charged them an extra $25 for GRIEF COUNSELING. All the vet did was ask her if she was sure that was the right decision and asked her if she was going to be OK to drive home.

There are some money-grubbing people out there and you’ll recognize them when they charge for breathing the air in their lobby.

But, just to be sure, always ask in advance if the consultation is free.

She SHOULD be paid for her time. Why don’t you ask the cost of the consultation, she’ll tell you; how do you expect people here to know what is in her mind.

    Hello,

The best thing you can do to answer your question is to ask your teacher if you are going to pay her with the consultation. You have to clarify everything to her so that you can prepare the right amount of money that you are going give her as her payment.

Hope this will going to help you..
