TEENS: Guitar Lessons or Voice Lessons?
Posted in guitar lessons on 14. Mar, 2010
What’s this week’s guitar lessons question? Let’s dive straight in…
Question: This summer, I’ll be attending a music school and I only have to choose whether it would be an instrument or a voice lesson.
I already know how to play piano, so it’s not in one of the options.
I know a very little of voice and guitar, and I don’t know which one to pursue.
I really like both. I like guitar because it would be easier for me to compose songs, and I could play a lot of songs with it. I like voice lessons because it would help me sing well and bring out the best in my voice.
What do you think?
I really need your opinon.
Thanks.
Answer: I play piano and guitar, I would definitely choose guitar.
Aside from the fact that I can’t and WON’T sing
, guitar is great and is really fun to learn, although it’s quite hard.
Voice lessons would improve and bring out the best in your voice, but (no offence here!) there’s only so much you can do with singing, it’s just singing. There are so many different things you can do with guitar.
Do whichever one you like but I think that playing the guitar will be a more useful and generally better choice.
