This week’s question is as follows:

Question: Can You Suggest Any Websites That Will Help Me Whilst Learning Guitar?
Answer: There are, but the best way is simply to learn the basic chord shapes and keep playing them: C major, d major, F majore and G major, A minor will get you a long way – further than Status Quo!

    Go to http://www.chordie.com.
At the top it says Resources. Go to that and then click The Large Chord Chart. Should help you get started. When you’ve learnt some chords you can search for a song and if it has it there you can try and learn it.
    Enjoy :)

I would suggest finding a site like http://www.chordie.com and then finding their selection of chords and learning some basic ones like D, C ,G ,A etc, then go to azchords.com and search for your favourite bands and look for their tab and chords

If I were you , I would get lessons from a professional teacher, it is much quicker to learn if you get lessons from a teacher, teaching yourself is possible, but with a teacher you’ll learn good technique and play songs aimed exactly at your level.

Depends on how advanced you are really.
As the other answers have stated, pratice your open chord shapes until you can play them without thinking.
Repetition and practice is what you need to do over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over
