This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:
Thank you in advance ![]()
Sheena is A Punk Rocker – The Ramones (try any Ramones song)
Hard Day’s Night – The Beatles
Sunshine of your Love – Cream
You Really Got Me – The Kinks
All These Things I’ve Done – The Killers
Play With Fire – The Rolling Stones
Hard to Explain – The Strokes
Paranoid – Black Sabbath
Seven Nation Army – White Stripes
More Than A Feeling – Boston
Death Or Glory – The Clash
Highway to Hell – AC/DC
Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here
Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah
Karma Police – Radiohead
Pieces of What – MGMT
The Kooks – Love it All
Here’s my advice to you as a beginner. Find any simple melody you hear that you really like and learn how to play it by ear. Just explore the songs you like and if you learn how to play them it will be so gratifying. So just try and play the music that you love and it will be much easier to learn. That’s how I did it and I know that if the passion is there anyone can. Learning by a combination of your ear and tabs will make you a much better player. Plus its more fun trust me so good luck and just don’t give up!
Our Song – Taylor Swift
it’s very easy and only uses like 5 beginner chords
Time of your life by Greenday
Creedence Clearwater Revival have alot of great songs that are good for beginners. Try "Bad Moon Rising" or "Proud Mary". Once you can manage an F chord, you could do "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?" and atleast the rhythm for "Fortunate Son". "My Generation" and "I Can’t Explain" (both by The Who) are two other good ones. "Stand By Me" (the Ben E. King classic) is another real good one. And most any classic punk song is simple. Just go wild.
