What Songs Should I Learn on the Guitar?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I’ve been playing for a while now but still of course learning. What songs do you recommend that I should learn how to play? I usually play classical rock, hard rock, metal, and classical.
Please reply only if you play guitar.
Answer: Eric Clapton – Tears in Heaven is an easy standard.

    Anything Green Day. They sound great and their songs are on the easy side :)

    Time of Your Life – Green Day. I’m new to guitar aswell and after tuning i learnt the full song in one day, c’est tres facile! Just be careful when switching from picking to strumming…

    So Cold – Breaking Benjamin. This is also v.easy, well the intro atleast, it incorpoates a little basic power chords and strumming throughout the whole fretboard.
